Joey’s Journey was inspired by a local family navigating the cancer journey and recognizing the lack of support available, specifically for children. It was founded in 2025 by a group of individuals through the Allen Lima Leadership program.

The name “Joey’s Journey” comes from the idea of a joey – a baby kangaroo – symbolizing a child who needs care, support, and protection during difficult times.
